Title: Bobby Brown Does Country Music well!!

Who would've thought R&B bad boy Bobby Brown could've made Hank Williams proud?

The late country icon would certainly have understood Bobby's troubled past and rocky relationships (especially with ex-wife Whitney Houston).

But the Hillbilly Shakespeare also would have appreciated Bobby's heartfelt delivery of an autobiographical song on the Wildhorse Saloon stage on Thursday as part of the CMT reality series Gone Country, which will premiere in America, in January.

Bobby is one of seven contestants who have spent the past two weeks living in one house and learning how to be a country star!

Thursday's show was the final showdown between Bobby, Carnie Wilson, Dee Snider, Diana DeGarmo, Julio Iglesias Jr., Maureen McCormick and Sisqo.

Each of them sang a country song they wrote with Nashville songwriters. Show host John Rich will pick the winner, whose song will be recorded and released.

I wasn't sure how seriously Bobby would take this challenge, but moments after he took the stage in a cowboy hat and heavily embroidered Western coat, my doubts were eliminated.

"I've been locked up, messed up / I came this close to almost giving up / and now I'm down here on my knees," the charismatic entertainer sang.

Dropping to his knees, he continued, "So you can finally see the man I've come to be."

Bobby told the crowd that the song was inspired by his life.

"I just got out of a really long marriage — not long enough for me, but I guess it was long enough for her," Bobby said.

"I miss her a lot. But I'm in a new relationship right now, that I am positive this one is going to last a little bit longer than that one. I am just thankful, and I want her to know."

Sisqo had the most authentic country delivery, while ageless Maureen (aka Marsha Brady) revealed the most poignant lyrics when she explored battling her demons.

Julio's breathy, sexy song remained a perfect fit for pop radio, while Twisted Sister's Dee's raunchy, fun song fit in the arena rock genre.

Carnie sang a sweet song about her daughter, and Diana's power vocals were reminiscent of country night on American Idol.

John Rich asked the crowd, "What am I gonna do?"

My vote goes for Bobby.
