The other half got his Wispa yesterday. Took great delight in taking a photo of it and texting it to everyone.

Great photo Claire!!

Yeah, I bought two wispa's today...one to eat, and then the other just to carry around with me and show everyone! Everyone was very impressed...

Ditto. Actually, they're as nice as I remember them to be.

Now that that particular campaign was successful, how can we start one to BRING BACK CADBURY'S AZTEC BARS? :wild:

Sarah wants to start one to being back Fuse Bars.

I had my first Wispa (since re-launch) on the platform of Finchley Road! Best day I'd had in ages!

What is an Aztec Bar??? I want lemon mint polos to come back!!!!

I still haven't found a Wispa!!! Someone give me a hint where to find one!!!!

Charlie - October 15, 2007 10:00 AM (GMT)
Aztec Bars were Cadbury's riposte to the immortal Mars bar - as I recall they were lighter in texture, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. They would've been around in the early-mid 1970s. (sorry folks, I'm old, but I can't help that)

L, I'll bring you a Wispa tomorrow eve (if they haven't all sold out, that is!!!).

Also - bring back Meltis mints (and the lemon variety of same).

Bring back ha'penny sweets. The actual sweets still exist however they a twice the price!

I remember when my nan would give me 20p and I could go out and buy loads of pic and mix for that. Now days it costs a fortune.

YSTUK another pic and mix addict once spent £15 on pic and mix at chesington world of adventures!

I like flying saucers, it's the sensation of an explosion of shebet through the rice paper as it dissolves in the mouth. I think that you can still get them.

My main objection is of renaming sweets. Marathon bar renamed Snickers bar and the demise of Opal Fruits.

If you are even offered or buy nordic salt sweets, decline because they, of course, taste salty and a bit like licking seaweed. AWFUL!!!!!

Malcolm
( bring back larger wagon Wheels !!!)

I HAD A WISPA TODAY!!! I saw it and I couldn't resist!!! They were selling them in our cafe downstairs and I got a little too excited!!!

I thought that Australia would have vegimite bars. Not my favourite !!!

If anyone is interested , the Canada shop near Covent Garden has a selection of things incuding chocolate bars from Canada including Old Henry bars , which are a bit like topic bars.

You can buy American sweeties in the Harlequin in Watford. (Top floor, the end nearest the market). But at £1 for a can of "grape soda" a little to rich for my thirst.

Plus American chocolate is rank.

I came across an English Chocolate Shop earlier this week in Darling Harbour, whilst in Sydney for a 'holiday' and got myself my first Wispa, and got my 2nd one today - could'nt resist it!!!!! It's about £1.10p ($2.50) a bar here as it's shipped into Australia so that's why it's more than normal but it was definatly worth it to taste real chocolate! :)

I also saw in the Supermarket here, 'Mars Dark' which was called 'Mars Dark and Gold' - they only sold them in a 20 pack of mini bars, so I got it and ate them all myself... mmm!!!!!!!

Malcolm - They don't have Vegimite bars - I don't quite see it myself... however they have the Squeezy thing instead if you don't like the jar version of Vegimite!

I have just seen on the news here, that Opal Fruits are making a comeback in the UK... but for only 12 weeks, and return in their original flavours which include lemon, strawberry and orange! ASDA are selling the sweets.
