I mentioned this at the AGM, but when Atol entered the studio Friday evening he had to spend ten minutes clearing up.
Surely it's up to each presenter, crew to take their detritus away. Request slips, file or bin. water bottles, bin or better take home and recycle. Why are there still a pile of plastic cutlery in the studio, from the 24hr thing? and when was that?
Really anal I may be but the whole area looks like the Somme what with the dumped beds, rubbish bins, dirty laundry etc etc in the corridor, someone even had to move a bed to get into the studio the other week!
So, the very least we can hope for is that both the studio and the new suite will be a rubbish free refuge.
Please, no silly comments.
Thanks
Steve.
I agree.... When I first started my Sunday show, I used to always tidy up the studio when I'd finished my programme and polish the desks, etc... sad, I know... but there's no harm in a little pride where we broadcast from!
I stopped polishing, when the studio was 'tidied up' one day and the dusters, etc, went missing!
I still tidy it up on Sunday nights, probably more out of habit now!

Hi Steve,
I and the rest of the committee are in complete agreement and is something we've been discussing.
While all presenters and members should leave the place as they wish to find it, we urge all volunteers to take care of the studio and record library.
With the refurb happening soon, we will be setting various rules about tidying in both our premises, which we intend to filter through the SM's and ASM's.
Not only is the mess annoying, but more importantly we are finding equipment such as headphones needlesley getting broken and therefore costing us money.
Trust me, this will be sorted!
Many thanks,
Matt
