I dont have to try to tilt the phone anymore to see the date - well done Ben & Jon.
Although, is it possible to make it a 12 hour clock rather than a 24 hour clock, and i dont know if anyone else has this, but it makes tell the time so much easier.
Example:
You see "19:14"
you think "Nineteen, fourteen"
you say "Nine, Fourteen"
I mostly agree, but last Tuesday they were showing a time about 80 secs ahead of the visible clock in OTS. Which is correct, please?
The time on the clocks is now correct. We initially couldn't get them to sync with the server however they now sync at regular intervals.
We intend to set studio PC to do the same and sync at regular intervals. Currently it only picks up the time when it is first logged in.
The design of the clocks is by no means the final design. We have implemented these as an interim measure. The software will be developed to deliver a 12hr clock with second markers round the outside.
There will be a change during the 24hr weekend to show a countdown timer to mid day on Sunday and a ticker tape along the bottom showing the funds raised so far as well as the time and date.
Long term we plan to connect the displays to the studio monitoring system to show the status of the studios. Newsroom ON-AIR, Studio One ON-AIR, Microphone Live etc.
What about 21th August??? :lol:
