As one event closes another one begins,
it was mentioned as a throw-away remark at the OGM back in early June.
The Challenge has been laid, and the date has been set:
The 24 Hour Challenge
- From 12pm on Saturday 30th August to 12pm on Sunday 31 August
Myself, Elliot Isaacson & Lauren Rich plus a whole host other presenters - will attempt a 24 hour show in one studio for one..whole..day

I am going to attempt to do a live link up from Canada and David Fletcher will hopefully phone from Australia. Unfortunately , I don't know if anyone is on holiday in South America or Africa to ring around the world. I think it is going to be a world wide event !!!!!

The 24 Hour Challenge - Updates, Updates, Updates
With Just over 1 month left till the big event, here’s whats happening
People
We got a loads of people who are interested in popping in during the day – thanks everybody – what I will do in the week building up to the event is contact you to find out what time you’ll be around, so we have people spread evenly and not all together at the same.
A Request Show
They’ll be a request show between 9-10pm on Saturday – so were looking into getting people upstairs between 6-7pm (during the Mix a Six) – if this isn’t allowed then 8-9 it shall be

Just Giving
Lauren, Matt B & Keith C. have started the paperwork for JustGiving (its not as simple as you think) but many thanks to them for their help with this, and as soon as I have the link so will you,
And I’ll be forwarding the link to:
Friends, Family, Work Colleagues, Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Internet forums, other groups/organisations that I’m involved liaise with.
And it would be top work if you could do the same thing to.

I’ll be speaking to Claire about getting some press attention, whether it is a story in the paper(s) or a full blown interview if we can, and perhaps publish that people can donate online and how.

Just a quick note to say a huge congrats to Ben, Lauren and Elz on this... great publicity and raised so much money for the station!!
Well done to all of you... and a special well done to Ben, who I personally know spent a great deal of time in the weeks beforehand, preparing the show!!
I suggest you keep the justgiving page live for people to make donations for a while yet!!
